Michael is a research scientist interested in the functional implications of phase separation in biology.  After graduating with his PhD from the Chilkoti lab in fall of 2019, Michael accepted a position at Isolere Bioscience, to develop purification products that rely on liquid-liquid phase separation.  Part-time at Duke, he continues to explore the sequence space of phase separating biopolymers with an eye towards new applications for this age old phenomenon.
